Llandudno’s Arts Festival is just days away – and here’s what visitors can expect.

From live performances to creative workshops, Llandudno will be jam-packed with art exhibitions, street performances, and creative hubs.

And organisers have unveiled some more of the inspiring activities set to amaze and inspire visitors along with a guide on how to make the most of the three-day festival which gets underway on Friday (Sep 14).

Director of Oriel MOSTYN Gallery, Alfredo Cramerotti, said: “LLAWN06 takes places right across town, with activities and experiences to make visitors laugh, smile, and think. From ‘wow’ moments to hidden gems, wherever people are in Llandudno there will be something to discover, explore, or get involved with. Street art, dance, aerial acrobatics, installations, photography, exhibitions, music, and cinema, will combine to make this one of Llandudno’s best arts festivals yet.”

    1. When is it on?

The event will run from September 14-16 throughout town including the promenade, promenade shelters, Venue Cymru, John Street, MOSTYN – 12 Vaughan Street, Haus – 26 Augusta Street, Holy Trinity Church, St John’s Church, and the Tabernacle.

    2. Follow the map

With so much to see and do, LLAWN06’s handy map is a useful to guide to what activities are happening and where. You can find it and more at website www.llawn.org

    3. Don’t miss the showstoppers

Museum of the Moon features NASA imagery of the moon’s surface and, after thrilling audiences all over the world, will be rising in St John’s Church, Mostyn Street, from 10am on Friday morning. But, there are amazing outdoor activities too including an aerial Shipwrecks performance outside Venue Cymru (Saturday 11am and 3pm), mythological sea monster Cragen (Saturday 2.30pm), chariot-riding Boudicca (Saturday 10am, noon, 2pm), The Whale (Saturday and Sunday from 10am, with Welsh performances noon-1pm) and Drag Queen Ginger’s Bathing Hut story time (Saturday and Sunday, 10.30am-5pm) to keep visitors entertained.

    4. LLAWN06 is for everyone

Most festival events are suitable for all ages, with some age restrictions, but there is sure to be something for everyone.

    5. Come and talk

A special Festival Hub will be set up at 26 Augusta Street so visitors wanting top tips, or a copy of the programme and map can pop in. Programmes are also available at MOSTYN – 12 Vaughan Street. Volunteers will be in and around town too – just keep an eye out for the high-vis pink tabards! Programmes are also available at MOSTYN – 12 Vaughan Street.

    Alfredo added:

“From 9 in the morning through to 9 at night, there’s something happening, and visitors may find they naturally come across spectacles and workshops to get involved in. But for those who like to plan their visit, there are timetables of events available and a map to set them on course. Volunteers will be in and around town to help, guide and answer questions over what promises to be a very special weekend.”
