FLINTSHIRE home buyers will be able to enjoy their first look inside show homes as part of a landmark regeneration scheme from this weekend (May 27).

Anwyl Homes is building 183 new homes at Summer Bridge, as part of the wider redevelopment of the former RAF Sealand site in Deeside, known as The Airfields.

Up until now, homes have been sold off plan from Anwyl’s nearby Maes y Rhedyn development in Llay.

From this weekend buyers will be able to view two professionally styled and fully furnished show homes. They’ll also be able to utilise digital technology to help them experience the development before it’s built.

During the launch event this Saturday (May 27) there will be experts on hand to offer independent financial advice and assistance in selling an existing property.

Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “We’re proud to be playing our part in transforming the former RAF Sealand, which is landmark scheme for the wider area. The opening of show homes represents a key milestone for the Summers Bridge development and is likely to boost interest in what is already proving to be a popular scheme.

“We’re building a good range of two, three and four-bedroom homes here and while it wouldn’t be practical to showcase each style of property, we’re offering the chance to experience every single home virtually.

“Buyers can effectively ‘walk’ down the streets and see the homes we’re building, helping them appreciate the layout. They can even ‘step’ inside the properties and gardens with the chance select different specification opens from the flooring to the kitchen. Combined with viewing the show homes, the virtual technology will really help to capture buyers’ imaginations and build on the excitement of buying a brand new home.”

The show homes are examples of the three-bedroom detached Bunbury and four-bedroom detached Henley, with integral garage.

The Bunbury is perfect for growing families. It features a lounge at the front, with open plan kitchen and dining room opening out onto the rear garden. A cloakroom completes the ground floor.

Upstairs, two of the three bedrooms are doubles. The main bedroom benefits an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the other two.

For those in search of a larger home, the Henley offers the ideal solution.

A feature bay window offers lots of natural light in the living room. Spanning the rear of the property, with easy access to the garden, is a combined kitchen, dining and family room, that’s destined to be the heart of the home. There’s also a utility and cloakroom on this level.

There are four good-sized bedrooms upstairs, including an en-suite to the main bedroom to complement the family bathroom.

Current prices at Summers Bridge range from £224,995 for a three-bedroom Bretton style property up to £364,995 for a four-bedroom detached Henley.

Homes priced up to £300,000 are eligible for Help to Buy Wales. Those who purchase this way only need a 5% deposit plus a mortgage from their lender of choice to cover the remaining 75%. There’s no interest to pay on the Help to Buy equity loan for the first five years.

The new homes at Summers Bridge are being built close to the A494 and A55, offering access to the beautiful Welsh coastline and stunning Snowdonia National Park.

Shopping, healthcare and other amenities of the well-established communities of Connah’s Quay and Queensferry are within easy reach, while the city of Chester is just five miles away.

The show homes at Summers Bridge open this Saturday (May 27).
