The Royal Mint Experience, located in Llantrisant, South Wales, is hosting a fun-filled summer, including a Bank Holiday weekend bursting with activities for the entire family.

On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th August, the award-winning visitor attraction will be host to over 40 stalls bursting with locally produced and hand-crafted treats!

Additionally, The Royal Mint Experience is set to have a plethora of rides which can be enjoyed by the entire family, and an ultimate assault course named ‘Lightning!’. All activities (excluding tours) are free for everyone over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Royal Mint opened its popular visitor centre, The Royal Mint Experience, at its home in Llantrisant, South Wales in 2016. The Royal Mint Experience takes visitors ‘behind the scenes’ to see the craftsmanship involved in making the nation’s coinage, followed by an interactive exhibition exploring 1,100 years of The Royal Mint’s history, as well as offering visitors the chance to strike their own UK coin.

Most recently, The Royal Mint Experience unveiled a brand-new exhibition in celebration of His Majesty King Charles II’s Coronation. Named ‘Crowned: The Making of a Monarch’. Visitors to The Royal Mint Experience  over the Bank Holiday weekend will have the opportunity to revel in its celebration of the traditions at the centre of Coronations and see a number of unique artefacts viewable by the public for the first time.

The Royal Mint Experience is currently open seven days a week from 09:15am, with tours running from 9:30am to 3pm.
