More than 300 PR professionals gathered at Cardiff’s City Hall on Friday (12th October) for the 2018 CIPR Cymru Wales PRide Awards – the nation’s annual public relations showpiece.

[aoa id=”1″]Creative communications agency jamjar bagged a hat-trick of Gold Awards with wins in the Healthcare Campaign, Low Budget Campaign and Best Use of Digital categories. Equinox and BrandContent picked up two Gold Awards each, with the latter named Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy.

Homeless charity, The Wallich, struck gold in the Not-for-Profit category for a campaign supporting homeless and vulnerable people across Wales. Judges praised the charity for its “clever use of partnerships and stakeholder engagement” which resulted in the organisation surpassing its fundraising target. [/aoa]

Golley Slater won the revered Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy award, while Rebecca Goodhand MCIPR and Nicola Jenkins MCIPR were named Outstanding Young Communicator and Outstanding Independent Practitioner, respectively.

[bs-quote quote=”“We know we have a huge number of talented communicators in Wales. The results we have seen at this year’s PRide Awards shows the breadth of skill, professionalism and talent through a number of industries. The campaigns and examples of work showcased in the awards proves the value PR and compelling communications bring to businesses, our economy and society. Very well done to everyone who made the shortlist and massive congratulations to all our winners.”” style=”style-11″ align=”center” author_name=”Rhian Moore MCIPR” author_job=”Chair of CIPR Cymru Wales” author_avatar=”https://www.wales247.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/rhian-moore-cipr.jpg”][/bs-quote]
