This week (22-26th October) is National Curry Week. Why not use this as an excuse to visit just a few of the fantastic Asian restaurants Cardiff has to offer?

Even though there are enough great restaurants to sample a different Asian cuisine every day for a month, we’ve picked five of our favourites to see you through the week:

    Monday

    Spice Route, Cardiff

What better way to start the week that with an all you can eat curry buffet? The Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay is home to the popular Spice Route, where you can try Indian, Thai and Malaysian curries. All freshly made by the Spice Route team, eat as much as you like for £12.99.

Vegetarian Studio is a Cardiff institution, popular with locals for over fifteen years. Their tasty vegetarian curries see visitors coming back time and time again. So tasty, they are even a firm favourite of non-vegetarians.

    Wednesday

You’re over half way through the week and what better way to celebrate than with a decadent curry? Pioneering a new wave of Indian cuisine, Mint and Mustard has established itself as one of Cardiff’s finest restaurants and has been such a success that it has expanded to sites in Penarth, Chepstow and Taunton.

    Thursday

If you’re out and about and want to grab something quick and delicious, there are few better options than stylish but casual Chai Street. With branches in Canton, Roath, the centre and Cardiff Bay, you’re never far from excellent Indian street food.

Finish the week on a high with Purple Poppadom, the award-winning restaurant by top chef Anand George. People come from far and wide to sample the tasting menu at Purple Poppadom which currently includes crispy crab, chilli pork and the popular chocomosa.
