Redrow has begun work on its second phase consisting of 78 new eco-electric homes in the Roman village of Caerleon, on the site that was formerly a University of South Wales (USW) campus and filming location for the Netflix series Sex Education.

Phase two of Parc y Coleg will feature a range of three and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s popular Heritage range. All will benefit from air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and thicker insulation. Starting at £437,000, the first plots will be ready by Spring/Summer 2025.  Electric vehicle chargers are included as standard.

Beverley Wookey is Sales Director for Redrow in South Wales. She said: “Building good quality, energy efficient homes gives homeowners a better way to live. Our new generation of eco electric homes have superb future-ready features that help to significantly reduce energy consumption and costs. They are ideal for those looking to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

“Parc y Coleg is surrounded by green space, yet superbly located for easy access to Newport, Cardiff and Bristol. Phase one has proved to be very popular with both commuters and families alike so with work now underway on phase two, we’re confident that this new collection of eco electric homes will also sell well.”
