    Time is running out to register for the highly anticipated Parc Margam 10k & 5k Run!

    Taking place in the breathtaking Margam Country Park, this event offers a unique opportunity to enjoy an exhilarating workout against the background of one of the UK’s most historic and beautiful country parks.

    With only a few days left to sign up and limited places available, don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting event – kindly sponsored by Trade Centre Wales.

    Runners can choose between 10k and 5k mixed terrain routes while helping to raise funds for the Morriston Podiatry General Fund and NPT District Nurses Fund, part of the Swansea Bay Health Charity.

    With a stunning castle, free-roaming deer and gorgeous views, Margam Park in Port Talbot is already loved by many. This has been reflected in the fact that for the 11th year in a row, Margam Park has was recently recognised in the prestigious People’s Choice Awards.

    Set in 1,000 acres of glorious parklands, the Margam 10k offers an event like no other, natural beauty, history, wildlife and a wide range of fun activities for facilities and spectators to make it one of the best days out in Wales.

    The event takes place on Sunday, March 16th, 2025.

    This year’s Mayor of Neath Port Talbot, Cllr Matthew Crowley said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for our local residents and those from further afield to enjoy a breathtaking run in breathtaking surroundings.

    “At the same time, they can help raise funds for my nominated charities this year – two very worthy causes which deliver vital services.”

    Trade Centre Wales Chairman and Founder, Mark Bailey added: “As a leading local company and employer, Trade Centre Wales is proud to be part of the local community and we’re delighted to support the Parc Margam 10k and 5k Run again.

    “We look forward to meeting runners from all over south Wales on March 16th and thank them in advance for helping the mayor’s charities”.

    Main details:

    • Check-in open from 9am at Margam Castle

    • 10k & 5k runs start at 10am

    • Please note: the route is all terrain and includes woodland paths and inclines. It can get muddy in wet weather!

    • Parking for participants is free. Main car park and check-in open from 9:00am. 10k & 5k runs start at 10:00

    • Participants must be 14 or older at the time of the event

    • All runners will receive a 2025 Parc Margam 10k medal at the finish line!

    The Morriston Podiatry General Fund provides training to ensure staff have the best and most up-to-date knowledge on meeting patients’ needs along with upgraded technology, machinery and innovation.

    The Neath Port Talbot District Nurses General Fund includes the Wound Clinic in the Neath Port Talbot Resource centre. The fund enables opportunities in education to help staff develop and to enhance patient experience as well as reviewing any specialist equipment to help the wound clinic deliver best practice care.
