Oystermouth Castle is throwing open its gates to visitors, residents, and history enthusiasts alike to explore the iconic landmark this summer.

The castle will officially reopen on Saturday, 5 April, and will welcome guests seven days a week from 11am to 5pm, with the last entry at 4:30pm.

Managed by a team of dedicated volunteers, The Friends of Oystermouth Castle, the site continues to be a cherished part of the community. In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the group was honoured with the King’s Voluntary Award in 2024.

Paul Lewis, Chair of The Friends of Oystermouth Castle, said: “To keep visits affordable for families and friends alike, we are pleased to announce that ticket prices will remain the same as the last two years. We look forward to welcoming more visitors to the castle in 2025, both new and returning.”

A family ticket (two adults and three children) is priced at £18, making it an accessible and enjoyable destination for all. Throughout spring and summer, the castle will host a variety of engaging events, kicking off with Gwerin y Gwyr and the Easter Bunny Hunt in April.

Councillor Elliott King, Cabinet Member for Culture, Human Rights & Equalities at Swansea Council said: “The castle offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into our region’s rich heritage, while also providing an opportunity to explore the fantastic shops, restaurants, and attractions in Mumbles.”

Visitors to Oystermouth Castle can admire its 14th-century artwork, walk across the stunning 30-foot-high glass bridge, and explore its private staircases leading from hidden vaults to former banqueting halls.
