Wales’ newest outdoor inflatable water park, Cosmeston Lakes Aqua Park, has officially opened for the 2025 summer season at the Vale of Glamorgan’s Cosmeston Lakes Country Park.
With over 40 connected obstacles, slides and splash zones, this floating adventure course has arrived in Wales, welcoming people to tackle its climbing walls, trampolines, giant slides and infamous ‘Blast Bags’.
The park will be open for an eight-week period, with the final sessions on the 14th September 2025.
Connor James, Marketing Manager at Cosmeston Lakes Aqua Park, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing back our Aqua Park to Wales for another year. Whether you’ve been before or you’re back for another round of fun, we can’t wait to welcome you.
“We are very proud of our staff and lifeguards at all our Aqua Parks. In fact, in the last five years, we’ve trained 400 people with RLSS* UK Open Water Lifeguard qualifications across all of our sites, and 116 in south Wales.
“For this 2025 season alone, 16 new lifeguards have been specially trained for the launch at Cosemeston Lakes, so we are offering safe, seasonal fun, and new jobs and opportunities for local people.”
Cllr Bronwen Brooks, Vale of Glamorgan Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Sustainable Places, said: “Aqua Park’s trial at Cosmeston Country Park is now underway as the Council looks to expand this location’s appeal and encourage visitors from a different demographic.
“Income generated from this venture will play an important part in helping to meet the park’s maintenance costs.
“After the eight-week pilot, the Council will consider the best way forward.”
