A total of 40 seats are up for grabs, with 12 candidates standing in Delyn.

Polls are open online until Sunday November 25 and voters can still register to take part using their email address, post code and date of birth.

Another 20 young people will be selected to join the parliament by associated organisations including the Urdd, Girlguiding Cymru and Learning Disability Wales.

The result of the election will be announced in December.

    Hannah Blythyn AM said:

“Our new Youth Parliament will provide a great opportunity for our young people to identify, raise awareness of and debate the matters important to them and I want as many people from our area to take part and be involved.

“I would urge anyone who hasn’t already to make sure they are registered to vote and ensure their voice is heard in this election.

“Good luck to all the candidates standing in Delyn and I look forward to working with our first ever Welsh Youth Parliament member.”
