TSS secures strategic funding to advance employee ownership goals

UK workforce provider Total Staffing Solutions Ltd (TSS), continues to drive forward its long-term growth and employee ownership strategy, by securing strategic funding with the support of GS Verde Group.

Following the successful transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) in 2023, TSS has secured an expanded facility from incumbent provider SME Bank.  The latest funding supports an accelerated payment of the deferred EOT consideration, marking another step in the business’s mission to empower its team and cement long-term sustainability.

Founded with a focus on delivering tailored staffing solutions across the UK, TSS has become a trusted partner for organisations seeking agile, high-quality workforce support. With a commitment to flexibility, efficiency and people-first principles, the company continues to go from strength to strength under its employee-owned structure.

The new funding arrangement enables TSS to strengthen its EOT commitment while reinforcing its financial stability and allowing for further expansion and growth.

Chris Jones, Finance Director of TSS, commented: “Becoming employee-owned was a significant step in recognising the contribution of our team and securing the values we’ve built the business on. This new facility allows us to continue delivering on that promise, strengthening our position, maintaining momentum, and focusing on our future together.”

The GS Verde Group, who also advised on the original EOT transaction, played a key role in the latest phase of support. The team assisted in structuring financial models for debt servicing and supported the preparation of legal documentation to facilitate the agreement with SME Bank.

Mr Jones added: “The GS Verde team have been instrumental throughout, from our original EOT transition through to this most recent funding support. Their guidance across financial and legal elements ensured a smooth process, and we’re grateful for their continued partnership.”

The rise of Employee Ownership Trusts continues to gain momentum across the UK, as more businesses look to protect their culture, empower their workforce, and build long-term growth strategies that align with stakeholder values.
