A team from Lab 22 have claimed the top spot in the 2025 Scimitar Business Challenge at the Brecon Carreg CDF 10K.

The team of 100, named Lab 22 – Hospitality Vs 10K Challenge, completed the challenge with a time of 3:20:21 and in doing so have raised more than £9,000 for charity. They also took home a trophy, iTabs for their finishers medals and a prize from Scimitar.

Closely behind them was The Great Defenders (3:24:44) and HWM Global (3:51:37).

Tani, from the award-winning Cardiff cocktail bar Lab 22, who recruited the team said: “I am super proud of everyone for showing up and giving it their best effort and the results have really come through with this news. We are so close to close to hitting our target of £10K for 10K for Dreams & Wishes Charity too.”

Dreams and Wishes Charity is a local charity dedicated to making dreams come true for seriously ill children and their families. Last year the team raised £6,000 for the charity, and this year they’ve raised even more.

The Scimitar Business Challenge is open to corporate teams of five or more looking for a team building exercise, charity fundraising or CSR activity.

Teams compete to be crowned the fastest. Each member of the team takes on the 10K distance with the fastest five times from each team counted towards the challenge.

Entries are now open for the 2026 Scimitar Business Challenge for more information visit: cardiff10k.cymru/team-challenge/
