LUDO Sports & Live Lounge is kicking off its Cardiff launch with a challenge fit for the front row.

On Saturday 27th September between 12 & 4pm, outside its new St Mary’s Street venue, Welsh rugby legend Alun Wyn Jones will put the public to the test in LUDO’s “Beat the Scrum” challenge – a one-shot chance to lock in, drive forward and see how your power stacks up.

Fresh from opening its doors on 25th September, LUDO will showcase its energy, atmosphere and love of sport right outside its front door, 117 St Mary’s Street, with a professional scrum machine, a live leaderboard, and prizes for every challenger.

Each participant gets one test of strength, their peak force logged instantly, and the chance to claim bragging rights against the most-capped international player in rugby history.

Everyone’s a winner at the “Beat the Scrum Challenge”. Each entrant will receive a drinks credit to enjoy inside LUDO, courtesy of launch partner Mimosa Rwm Espiritu. The top ten scorers will earn an invite (plus a guest) to LUDO’s exclusive VIP launch party, while the top five will also claim a round of drinks for four, redeemable from 27th September to 27th October. The overall winner will walk away with all of the above – plus a whopping £250 bar tab.

The action doesn’t end there. Inside, the celebrations continue with live sport streamed across multiple screens, including the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final on Cardiff’s biggest outdoor screen, as well as social darts, basketball and a delicious food and drinks menu.

“Cardiff is synonymous for hosting large sports and entertainment events, although the rugby is usually kept in the stadium! So seeing the scrum machine on St Marys street is a fitting way to mark LUDO’’s opening. Myself and everyone at Mimosa Rwm are excited to continue our journey with LUDO’s presence in Cardiff ” said Alun Wyn Jones.

“Cardiff deserves a venue that can host a big game night. LUDO is built for that, and this launch puts it on the map for everyone to experience. We’re excited to welcome Alun Wyn and the Mimosa Rum Espiritu team for what we hope will be a long-lasting and exciting partnership, with more joint events to come,” says ETM CEO, Ed Martin.
