David Spear Commercial Vehicles has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Dragons RFC, reaffirming its support for professional rugby in Wales during a period of uncertainty.

The announcement follows David Spear’s recent official kit partnership deal with Cardiff Rugby, signalling the company’s growing role as a key supporter of Welsh regional rugby.

For more than a decade, David Spear has proudly supported Dragons RFC — one of Wales’ four professional regions — both on and off the pitch. The partnership goes beyond branding, focusing on shared values, trust, and a mutual ambition to drive success for the region.

Geraint Yeo, Director at David Spear Commercial Vehicles, said:

“Supporting Dragons RFC for over a decade has been a privilege. This partnership reflects our belief in the power of sport to unite communities and build lasting relationships across the region.”

As an Official Corporate Partner of Dragons RFC, David Spear’s involvement includes:

    • Kit Sponsorship – Branding on all first team playing and retail shorts.
    • Corporate & Marketing Rights – Access to Dragons branding, player imagery, and official media platforms.
    • Business Club Hospitality – Hosting clients and partners at Dragons Business Lounge events with matchday experiences.
    • Player Sponsor Headline Partner – Exclusive involvement in Player Sponsors’ Days at the club’s training base.
    • Community Support – Supplying essential vehicles including a large kit van, two 4×4 trucks for coaching staff, and three community vans supporting grassroots programmes.

Mike Sage, Dragons RFC Head of Community, praised the enduring partnership:

“David Spear has been an outstanding community partner for many years. The vehicles they provide are essential to delivering our programmes across Gwent, helping us inspire thousands of young people and families. Their support is first-class and deeply valued.”

With inspirational coaching leadership from Filo Tiatia, a former New Zealand All Black and Ospreys icon, Dragons RFC is moving forward with renewed energy and ambition.

David Spear’s current partnership runs until the end of the 2026 season, reinforcing a long-term commitment to Dragons RFC and professional rugby in Wales.
