British menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt is set to open its first ever store in Wales, with a new location confirmed for St David’s Shopping Centre in Cardiff.

The store will officially open its doors on Sunday 23 November 2025, marking a major milestone for the brand as it expands its UK retail presence to 44 stores, and 59 globally (excluding third-party stockists).

The move comes in response to a strong customer base in Cardiff, where the new store will give shoppers the chance to experience the brand in person for the first time. The company hopes to build on its loyal following by offering a full in-store experience while introducing new customers to its timeless style.

Covering 2,676 sq ft (2,020 sq ft trading), the store has been designed around the brand’s mission of “Making it Easy for Men to Dress Well.” Located on the ground floor of St David’s in one of the centre’s busiest areas, it combines classic design with a welcoming and refined shopping environment.

The Cardiff store also features enhanced spaces for customers to relax and browse, along with Charles Tyrwhitt’s first dedicated appointment area outside London. Shoppers can enjoy refreshments while receiving one-to-one styling or fit consultations for a truly tailored experience.

Opening during the Black Friday and Christmas shopping season, visitors will be able to take advantage of 20% off everything as part of the brand’s Black Friday offer, with exclusive prizes available during the opening week. The store is located at 17 Grand Arcade, Unit LG35, St David’s Shopping Centre, Cardiff, CF10 2EF.

Charles Tyrwhitt founder Nick Wheeler said:
“My mother was born just down the road in Newport, Gwent. I spent summers there with Granny Lillian on Glasllwch Lane, and also with Granny Jo who had settled in Newport, Pembrokeshire. I guess that only makes me half-Welsh, but since starting my shirt business while at the University at Bristol in 1986 just over the Channel (I used to call it the Cardiff Channel!) I’ve dreamt of having a shop ‘this side’.

I have many happy memories of Cardiff, working closely for many years with The King’s Trust to help young people here, and I’m now delighted to welcome you to our very first store in my (nearly) homeland. My mother would be very proud.”

Founded in 1986, Charles Tyrwhitt is known for crafting menswear built to last, using only the finest materials. While the brand is best known for its shirts, it also offers a full range of tailoring, casualwear, shoes, and accessories, all backed by a six-month no-questions-asked guarantee.
