One of Wales’ leading aluminium fabricators, Dudley’s Aluminium, is ending 2018 on a high after securing two new projects with a combined worth of close to £4million.

It’s been a strong year for Dudley’s Aluminium, which has secured a number of major projects, including Cambridge University’s R&D Campus, the £4million Central Square contract in Cardiff and student accommodation in Exeter.

The Welsh fabricator has been awarded both new projects by Willmott Dixon Construction Limited in Pontypridd and Exeter.

The first project is part of the £38m Taff Vale redevelopment programme that will deliver a three-building office-led regeneration scheme at the heart of Pontypridd. Dudley’s will be installing Kawneer AA110 capped curtain walling, Kawneer doors and windows as well as Brise Solar Shading to the redevelopment scheme that will consist of a mixture of offices and leisure facilities.

The second contract will see Dudley’s Aluminium support the construction of a new Custody Centre and Operational Hub on the Middlemoore Headquarters site in Exeter. Dudley’s will be installing Kawneer curtain walling and windows, as well as top of the range automatic entrance doors, adding to the already established police headquarters site.

Speaking about the new ventures, Colin Shorney, Managing Director of Dudley’s Aluminium, said:

“We are delighted to have secured two more projects this year and are looking forward to working with Willmott Dixon Construction again.

“We are proud to be part of two major construction projects that will benefit local communities. The Middlemoore Police HQ Project will improve the working environment of the police and crime staff, while the Taff Vale Project in Pontypridd will deliver significant economic benefits to the region.”

Construction is already underway on both projects, with completion estimated later in 2019.
