South Wales Police are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A470, which has led to the southbound carriageway being closed from the Caerphilly exit slip road.
The closure is expected to remain in place for some time and drivers are being asked to avoid the area and find another route if possible. Police have thanked motorists for their patience while the incident is ongoing.
Some drivers say they have been able to leave the A470 at the Caerphilly junction, travel across the roundabout and rejoin the road further along, although delays remain likely.
