Cardiff headquartered DPP Planning, one of the UK’s leading independent planning consultancies, has been shortlisted for Planning Consultancy of the Year at the prestigious Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence 2025.
The national awards celebrate the very best in the planning profession, and DPP’s shortlisting places it among the top nine large planning consultancies in the UK.
The company’s submission showcased the breadth of projects and regions in which DPP operates, alongside positive client feedback and a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes.
It also highlighted the importance of DPP’s people, highlighting the progression of its team through structured career development, from annual graduate intakes to senior leadership roles. A strong focus on training, wellbeing, and corporate social responsibility was also recognised as central to the company’s culture and continued success.
DPP has also been shortlisted for a second consecutive year in the Excellence in Planning for a Successful Economy category, this time for its work on the Riverside Sunderland Regeneration: Maker & Faber offices and Wear Footbridge project.
Gareth Hooper, CEO of DPP Planning, said: “Being shortlisted for Planning Consultancy of the Year is fantastic national recognition of the work we do, the values we uphold, and most importantly the people who make DPP what it is.
“Our success reflects the strength of our team across the UK, balancing the needs of our clients with those of our people through genuine investment in development, wellbeing and culture. This shortlisting is something everyone at DPP can take real pride in.”
The winners will be announced at the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence ceremony in London on 27th November 2025, where members of the DPP team will be in attendance to celebrate the occasion.
