Taylor Wimpey South Wales has donated 470 warming items such as socks, hats and scarves to homelessness charity, Crisis’s South Wales Skylight based in Swansea.

As part of its Wrap Up Warm campaign, the leading homebuilder has donated over 14,000 much  needed winter essentials to 24 homelessness centres in England, Scotland and Wales in support of its national charity partners – CRASH, St Mungo’s and Crisis.

Glyn Harteveld, Operations Manager- Coaching at Crisis Skylight South Wales said: “Although Christmas is a happy time for many, for our members here at the Crisis South Wales Skylight, it can be a lonely and difficult time.

“We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey South Wales for donating warm clothing during the cold winter  months. Many of our members are staying in temporary accommodation which they have to vacate during the day, and others are sleeping on the streets. So, as temperatures plummet, it’s really helpful to be able to provide some warm essential clothing.”

Liz Reynolds, Managing Director at Taylor Wimpey South Wales, said: “Crisis provides vital services and support to people who are experiencing homelessness and we hope that our donation will go some way to providing some comfort to those without a home this Christmas.”
