Four people have been arrested, and a substantial amount of drugs and cash have been seized following a day of action targeting drugs in Anglesey.

Officers searched eight properties and three vehicles in the Menai Bridge, Cemaes Bay and Bangor areas on Monday 21 September, following a police investigation.

As a result, four people were arrested in connection with drug supply offences.

Two people have since been charged.

Aaron Colin Owen, 32, of Fron Heulog, Menai Bridge, was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis, being concerned in the supply of MDMA and 2C-B, possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of criminal property.

Jordan Lee Jones, 29, of Gardd Denman, Bangor, was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.

Both men appeared at Caernarfon Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 22 September, where they were remanded in prison until the next hearing at Caernarfon Crown Court on 19 October.

The two other individuals arrested have since been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.

Additionally, an amount of suspected drugs, large sum of cash and high value assets, including watches, were seized.

Ynys Mon Chief Inspector Jon Aspinall said: “We remain committed to ensuring that Ynys Mon continues to be a hostile environment for criminals to operate.

“Our message to them is clear – anyone who brings illegal drugs onto the island will be relentlessly pursued and brought to justice.

“Thanks to members of the community for their continued support.

“I urge anybody with information about drugs in the community to report their concerns to police or anonymously on Crimestoppers.”
