Wales’ largest hospitality training provider firmly signs up for H&C EXPO

Wales’ largest provider of hospitality training and apprenticeships has confirmed a substantial stand located at the heart of H&C EXPO, the first cross hospitality and catering industry trade show taking place in the nation.

As H&C EXPO’s central theme running across the event will address the people and skills shortages in the industry, Cambrian Training Company’s presence is particularly apt.

The company operates throughout Wales with its headquarters based in Welshpool and other strategically located offices in Holyhead, Colwyn Bay, Brecon Haverfordwest and Llanelli.

Arwyn Watkins, OBE, managing director of Cambrian Training Company, set out his strategy behind working with the H&C EXPO team saying:

“In July 2019, Sir Terry Mathews’ £85 million ICC Wales opens, the first dedicated exhibition centre in Wales, demonstrating the leadership and forward vision Wales needs for business in the twenty first century.

“When we learned that the inaugural event taking place in the ICC Wales in 2019 would be H&C EXPO, we got behind it immediately. Wales needs businesses that break new ground and lead and we want to be part of that leading the way with them.

“H&C EXPO’s inaugural event takes place this July at the Celtic Manor and we are ensuring we will be at the heart of the new hospitality event for Wales. We look forward to meeting and working with hospitality businesses from Wales and over the UK.”

Mark Harris, H&C EXPO’s event director, reflected on working with Cambrian Training Company.

“When H&C EXPO was a concept, Arwyn and the team at Cambrian Training supported what we were creating. When we launched, they stood solidly beside us and have continued to do so.

“Addressing the acute people and skills shortages in our industry is the central theme to H&C EXPO and we are delighted to be working with Wales’ largest hospitality training provider to do so.”

H&C EXPO takes place at the Celtic Manor Resort on July 17 and 18, preceded by the H&C EXPO Charity Golf Day on July 16 also at the resort, host of golf’s Ryder Cup.
