Yvonne will manage Portal’s work-based learning contract ensuring that Portal reaches the achievement and attainment rates set by the companies they work with.

Yvonne’s appointment comes following 18-months of growth in the business, which has seen its team in North Wales quadruple to cope with demand in the region and triple its overall staff headcount across Wales in the past three years.

Speaking about her appointment, Yvonne said: “I am thrilled to be part of the Portal training team and can’t wait to start contributing to the continued growth of this exciting and vibrant company.

“What attracted me most to Portal is that they put the staff at the heart of everything they do and champion staff’s achievements, as well as those of their learners and partners. I also felt that Portal’s ethos and morals matched my own, in that it is an open and honest business that wants to do an amazing job and have fun along the way.”

Yvonne added: “It was also refreshing to see that Portal’s board of management was largely female – again, another attractive trait as a working mother of three.”

Operations Director of Portal, Clare Jeffries, said of Yvonne’s appointment: “Portal has seen a growth of 300% in the past three years and so having someone with Yvonne’s experience and enthusiasm on the team to support us in our exciting and ambitious growth plans over the next three years

“When we met Yvonne we thought she would be a great fit for us at Portal as she is all about developing and building an efficient and enthused team – which is key to what we are doing to help us achieve our goals and objectives and keep our partners and learners happy.”

Founded in 2010, Portal is a leading Welsh training organisation delivering high quality and creative leadership and management training courses, programmes and resources for professionals working within the education, business and sporting sectors.
