The ‘Mini Miners’ group aimed at young children is back at the Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park.

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, Mini Miners is a toddler and baby session which will feature Rhyme Time, Storytelling and much more.

The next Mini Miners session of 2018, for pre-school age children, takes place on Wednesday, May 2 from 11am until 12pm. Booking in advance is advisable to avoid any disappointment. The cost will be £2 per child.

Cllr Ann Crimmings, Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, with responsibility for visitor attractions, said:

“The Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park attracts visitors of all ages from around the world.

“The Mini Miners club is proving to be really successful at the popular family attraction, with families with young babies and toddlers.

“Through the use of storytelling and rhyme, Mini Miners provides the early years learning experiences that will stand these children in good stead for their future years.

“Mini Miners helps promote increased socialisation at a very young age. It also gives parents, carers, guardians and grandparents the opportunity to connect with their wider community.”

Mini Miners is run by the Council’s Heritage Service at the Welsh Mining Experience, Rhondda Heritage Park.

The next Mini Miners session, aimed at pre-school age children, takes place at the Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park, on Wednesday, May 2, from 11am until 12pm. For further details call 01443 682036 or email [email protected]
