Gary Morris has been a solicitor with Gamlins since 1975 and has been a key figure in the growth of the firm.

He will continue to work as a consultant for the firm and act for some of his long-standing clients.

Gary first joined Gamlin, Kelly and Beattie (as the firm then was) after graduating from university in 1972. He qualified as a solicitor in June 1975 and became an equity partner almost immediately.

During Gary’s time, the firm grew from two offices to the current six locations with staff numbers increasing from around a dozen to today’s headcount of almost 80.

He specialises in commercial property law as well as general commercial matters, acting for everyone from private clients to PLCs.

Glyn Morrice-Evans, a director of Gamlins Law, succeeds Gary as head of the commercial property department having worked closely with him over a number of years.

Gary said: “I have always had the view that if you do a good job for clients, they will stay with you.

“It is all about getting the right result that meets the commercial needs of the client.

“Over the years, I have forged some great relationships with successful entrepreneurs and large-scale organisations in North Wales and elsewhere in the UK.

“I have been fortunate to be able to work and live in a fantastic part of the world and look forward to continuing to act for clients in my new role as consultant to Gamlins Law.”

Ron Davison, Managing Director of Gamlins Law, said: “Gary has played an incredibly important part in creating today’s Gamlins Law.

“We are delighted that he will continue to act for the firm as we embark on the next chapter in the firm’s story.”

The firm celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2019. It has offices in Rhyl, Abergele, Denbigh, Holywell, Ruthin and Mold.
