    The Trade Centre Group reach Top 100 in The Sunday Times Top Track 250

    The Trade Centre Group PLC has climbed a staggering 66 places in the 15th annual The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250, now placing the motor retailer 90th in the table. Employing over 600 staff in South Wales and the West Midlands the business is set to expand into the North West, creating over 100 new jobs at the new Rochdale location.

    The Trade Centre Group are the only company with headquarters in Wales to reach this year’s Top 100 echelon of the Top Track 250. For the financial year ending November 2018, The Trade Centre Group reported sales of £257 million, an impressive 44% year-on-year increase.

    Sharing the coveted league table with household names like Fat Face, Pure Gym and Travelodge, The Trade Centre Group’s Founder and Chairman, Mark Bailey said “We are very proud to be the only Wales based business to feature in the Top 100 of the Top Track 250, we have invested significantly in growing the brand over recent years and it is great to see the hard work and enthusiasm of the team recognised in this way”

    Mark and his senior management team will collect their latest award in a ceremony to be held at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel in November, a month before opening the doors on their brand-new 1,000 car store in Rochdale.

    Tim Carr, Chief Financial Officer of The Trade Centre Group, said, “The last couple years have been significant in terms of scaling the business, however, our biggest period of growth remains ahead of us and we look forward to extending our footprint across the UK”

    The Trade Centre Group currently operates five used car supermarkets across the West Midlands and South Wales, founded in Neath, South Wales in 1999 the company now sells more than 35,000 cars a year.

    The company is proud to support local communities, sharing the company’s success. Mark Bailey added, “we invest significantly each year in local community projects, our continued success benefits the communities in which we operate, whether that’s through our chosen charity the NSPCC, grassroots kit club sponsorships or local fundraising projects.”
