NatWest is partnering with Moneypenny, the world’s largest and highest rated outsourced communications provider, to bring the 900 entrepreneurs it supports through its Accelerators exclusive access to tools and advice that will help them to grow and develop their businesses.

The partnership with Moneypenny will allow the bank to offer free trials for services such as Telephone Answering, Live Chat and the Pocket Phone System to the 900 businesses within the bank’s Accelerator Hubs. Both the technology and quality of service that Moneypenny provide are a cost-efficient way to add value to a business, leaving the Entrepreneurs to concentrate on their businesses’ core services.

As well as providing access to their products, through the partnership Moneypenny will share their specialist advice on how to use technology and outsourcing to grow a business through events hosted by the NatWest Accelerator hubs.

Gordon Merrylees, Head of Entrepreneurship at NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Entrepreneurs face a number of unique challenges and we are committed to providing the best environment for them to start, scale and succeed.

Every year, we support more than 1,300 entrepreneurs in our Entrepreneur Accelerator hubs, which gives us valuable insight into the support start-ups and scale-ups need and our new partnership with Moneypenny will help make running a business easier.

“We know that we need to support businesses in ways that go beyond providing them with financial services – we need to provide them with the advice and tools that they need to flourish and achieve their full potential.

“By partnering with Moneypenny, we are giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to try technology that can not only give them back time to spend on other aspects of running their business, but make their business seem more professional, because of the quality of service provided by Moneypenny.

“The unique opportunity to be advised by Moneypenny about how to use innovative technology and outsourcing in the best possible way is one that will be invaluable when it comes to empowering our entrepreneurs.”

Moneypenny, founded by a brother and sister team in 2000, now employs over 700 staff in the UK, who work with 13,000 businesses across all sectors to deliver telephone answering, live chat, switchboard and multichannel customer services. The recipient of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, Moneypenny has expanded at a rapid rate while maintaining consistently high customer satisfaction ratings. As a company that has itself developed from a small start up into a highly successful business, Moneypenny will share their own learnings.

Claire Smith, Head of Business Development at Moneypenny comments “We are delighted to be partnering with NatWest to help entrepreneurs grow their business. We have helped thousands of our clients to focus on their core business safe in the knowledge that we are providing their customers with exceptional customer service whenever they get in contact, whether that is by phone, Live chat or through social media.”

The partnership will run as a pilot with the entrepreneurs in the Accelerator hubs for 3-6 months.
