Traffic disruption on one of Cardiff’s busiest roads has now been cleared after a temporary closure earlier today.
According to South Wales Police, officers attended an incident on the A48 Western Avenue which resulted in the eastbound carriageway being shut in the direction of Ely.
The closure was in place from the junction with Cardiff Road and Eastern Avenue, causing disruption for motorists travelling through the area.
Police have since confirmed that the road has fully reopened.
No further details about the nature of the incident have currently been released.
