ADVENTURE Coachlines has launched a series of day trips this half term to provide some family smiles following the pandemic. The move aims to restore confidence in coach travel while providing travellers with a low cost and convenient way to sightsee across the UK.

Adventure Coachlines – the new name for the coaching arm of NAT Group – kickstarts the service in the October half term with two excursions to Bath and the Cotswolds following the easing of travel restrictions and a public appetite to explore UK destinations. Across the entire NAT Group fleet, stringent cleaning procedures using premium antiviral products have been introduced to ensure that all Welsh Government regulations are adhered to and passenger safety is preserved.

Additional measures include maintaining space between seats, the issuing of PPE for drivers and the availability of passenger ‘COVID Safety Kits’ which include antibacterial hand gel, antibacterial wipes, gloves and a face mask. Temperature checking for everyone onboard is also being rolled out across the coaching division.

The initial day trip to the Cotswolds on October 27 will take passengers to visit the picturesque Bourton on the Water; famous for its grade II listed model village and paddling streams, followed by family friendly Bath City Farm on October 29. Both journeys will comprise of two coaches from Adventure Coachlines’ signature range featuring TV monitors, arm rests, onboard toilets, curtains, reclining seats, air conditioning and reading lights. Collection and drop off points will be Swansea, Bridgend, Cardiff, Caerphilly and Pontypridd and prices start from £8 for children and £11 for adults. Passengers will have between 3-6 hours at each destination.

Adventure Coachlines Sales Executive Lauryn Tunnel said: “The last six months have seen immense change within our business including streamlining services, extending routes, the launch of a brand new depot in Taffs Well and the introduction of new safety and cleaning measures – all of which have helped to ensure our passengers’ journeys are first rate – however, the coaching arm has been slower to show signs of recovery.

“The introduction of our Adventure Coachlines daytrips is a significant step in our ambition to return to some kind of ‘business as usual’ and we look forward to welcoming individuals, couples and families aboard to visit some beautiful parts of neighbouring England.”
