South Wales Police officers are appealing for information following a serious four-vehicle collision in Port Talbot.

The crash happened on Margam Road, between Groswen Park and the junction with Rhanallt Street, at around 12.22pm on Wednesday, May 6.

A driver of a red Vauxhall sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital in a condition described as critical but stable.

The driver of a Citroen Picasso also suffered injuries which required hospital treatment, although these are understood to be less serious.

Roads policing officers investigating the collision are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of the vehicles involved to come forward.

Motorists and residents in the area are also being urged to check any dashcam or doorbell footage which may assist the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police quoting reference number 2600140685.

Information can be provided online via South Wales Police or by calling 101.
