Careers Wales has launched a new resource to support primary school learners with careers learning. Careers City is an interactive map designed to support learners in years 5 and 6 to explore different careers and the world of work. Coming with supporting classroom materials and teacher notes, the resource will help teachers to include careers and work-related experiences (CWRE) in their curriculum. They include performing arts groups such as Mellin Theatre Arts, The Rising Stars Theatre Company and the Bernadette Jones School of Irish Dancing. An independent Welsh chocolatier has secured a listing for two of its products across all 56 ALDI stores in Wales. This comes after the chocolate brand scored highly during a consumer focussed supplier event held in Swansea and organised by the supermarket. Wickedly Welsh Chocolate will now be supplying its 90-gram Salted Caramel and Milk Chocolate bars to the 56 ALDI stores after the supermarket supplier event saw the products so highly rated. The product scoring was across areas such as flavour, taste, pricing and likely frequency of purchase, with over 16,000 pieces of data being recorded during the event.…

As well as the closeness of Swansea Market and city centre restaurants, cafes and shops, city centre businesses say the availability of activities there is great for exercises like teambuilding. A fast-growing North Wales and Cheshire law firm is opening its first office in Flintshire with the acquisition of new premises in Mold. Swayne Johnson have taken over extensive premises close to the centre of town on New Street which will initially house a team of seven lawyers and two support staff. A partnership highlighting careers in social care with secondary schools has been shortlisted for a national award. Pembrokeshire’s Social Care Wales Workforce Development Programme (SCWWDP) work with WeCare Wales has been recognised by the Careers Wales Valued Partner Awards in the Best Ongoing Relationship with a School category. A total of 296 nominations have been received in 13 categories for individuals and teams involved in a variety of different sports. The Welsh Government has today announced that 27 woodland sites will join the National Forest for Wales network. 15 of the sites are the first to join the network since the National Forest Status Scheme launched in June, which has enabled a wider range of woodlands to become part of the National Forest. These could be small urban or community woodlands, private land or farms, or large areas of land owned by local authorities, charities or timber-producing woodlands.
