There will be a road closure in Church Village this week in order to deliver improvement work as part of the Safe Routes in Communities scheme. The scheme got underway earlier this year, using Welsh Government funding to upgrade pedestrian facilities on streets near Llanilltud Faerdref Primary School. A number of changes to local bus services will be introduced in the coming weeks as a result of a shake up to bus funding. From April 2024, the funding which has been provided directly to bus operators by the Welsh Government to keep services going in the wake of the Covid pandemic will cease. Additional funding will instead be provided to Local Authorities to support their local bus network. Steven Felix, 36, from Brackla, Bridgend, sexually abused a child under the age of 13, from the summer of 2019 to late 2020. Officers received a report of the abuse in May 2021. Following an investigation, he was charged with 24 charges of rape and sexual activity with a child.
