Europe’s biggest trailer maker is launching a paid internship scheme with 50 jobs up for grabs at the end of it. Candidates chosen to take part in the Summer Programme at Ifor Williams Trailers – which has six manufacturing sites in Deeside and Denbighshire – will be paid £360 a week. South Wales Police investigating serious disorder which happened in the Ely area of Cardiff on Monday, May 22nd have made further arrests. The disorder followed a fatal road traffic collision in Snowden Road, Ely, which tragically claimed the lives of best friends Kyrees Sullivan and Harvey Evans. In relation to the disorder, 20 people have now been arrested. 17 males and 3 females, aged between 14 and 36 arrested on suspicion of riot have been released on police bail while the investigation continues. Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Infrastructure and Investment, Cllr Andrew Morgan OBE, has recently visited the Castle Inn Bridge work site in Treforest. The bridge was damaged by Storm Dennis and is being demolished so a permanent replacement bridge can be lifted into place this summer.
