Drivers are facing delays across parts of Cardiff and the M4 this morning as congestion builds on several key routes, according to Traffic Wales. Heavy traffic is being reported on the A4232 northbound between Culverhouse Cross and Junction 33 Capel Llanilltern, with queues affecting motorists heading towards the M4. Further delays are also being seen on the A470 southbound from Nantgarw towards Coryton, a route that is often busy during peak travel times. Elvis – who was rescued back in September from the rocks at Porthcawl seafront – has finally left the building after spending the last few months at RSPCA West Hatch Wildlife Centre. On Monday (February 2) Elvis (who is in fact a she) was released back into the wild alongside five other seals – named as singers and bands – Sleep Token, Wurzel, Arctic Monkey, Benson Boone, Fleetwood Mac – who have all completed a stint of rehabilitation with the RSPCA. Forgotten meats such as liver, heart and kidneys could make a comeback as a new superfood, according to scientists. Offal was once a regular part of people’s diets in the UK but have fallen out of favour in recent decades, despite being relatively cheap and a rich source of vitamins and minerals. Wales is set for a wet and unsettled spell of weather with heavy rain and blustery showers forecast over the coming days. The Met Office said Friday would begin widely cloudy as rain pushes northwards, bringing heavy and prolonged downpours at times. major road in Cardiff has reopened following a fire that prompted emergency services to close part of Rover Way on Thursday. South Wales Police confirmed the route was shut from Rover Way up to the junction with Seawall Road while crews dealt with the incident. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes during the disruption.
