Principality Building Society has announced that Julie-Ann Haines, will be stepping down from her position as Chief Executive of Wales’ largest building society. The Board has appointed Iain Mansfield, as Chief Executive. He will serve as CEO designate from the 13th of October, with a date in November to be agreed on the formal transition. He has served as the Society’s Chief Financial Officer since 2022, and a member of the Board since 2019. One of the UK’s oldest entrepreneurs, Peter Webber, emphasised the importance of his sons and wife in his business success as he celebrated his 90th birthday at the weekend. Pupils from Ysgol Calon Lân in Swansea have been making their mark on one of the city’s flagship regeneration projects. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of a burglary at St Fagans National Museum of History, Cardiff. The men aged 43 and 50 from Northampton were arrested yesterday afternoon and are in custody in Northamptonshire. South Wales Police continues to investigate the burglary which was reported at around 12.30am on Monday morning (October 6). Several items, including Bronze Age gold jewellery, were stolen from a display case in the main building. Searches are continuing for the stolen items.
