A former South Wales Police officer has appeared in court after an investigation by the force’s Professional Standards Department uncovered his corrupt behaviour. Concerns were identified about Richard Helling through the proactive work of the Anti-Corruption Unit which found that he had abused his position as a Police Constable with four victims of crime who he had met through the course of his duties.
