RSPCA Cymru has launched an appeal for information to find the owner of a thin and injured horse found in Risca. The cob type horse was removed from land off Dan-y-Griag Road on Monday 16 March after being found in a poor condition. Now, RSPCA officers are keen to find out more about her. The UK Government has announced plans for a £20m investment to support the transformation of Swansea’s Civic Centre site on the city’s seafront. Swansea Council has confirmed that funding from the UK Government will aim to support ambitious proposals to rejuvenate and re-envisage the building once it has gone through the necessary checks and clearances. Newport City Council officers have undertaken extensive work to track down the source of an odour which has impacted large parts of the city in recent months. At the moment, the evidence that has been gathered suggests that the sulphurous, or rotten- egg-like, smell is coming from river sediment but investigations are continuing.
