RCT Council announced that temporary traffic management is required on the Mountain Ash Cross Valley Link bridge to rectify an ongoing issue with two loose manhole covers. Temporary three-way traffic lights are required at the Miskin Road end of the bridge from Thursday, February 23. The permanent signals will then be brought back into use on Sunday evening (February 26). The Council’s contractor will reset the manhole covers with concrete repairs, and then allow curing time before traffic passes over them to ensure their stability. The Welsh Government is providing a further £5.45m for the new Football Museum for Wales in Wrexham. The funding is part of an agreement between the Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru. The Seren Medics programme, which helps school-age children go on to study Medicine at university, is enjoying excellent results in north Wales. Since 2016, medical professionals at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and Ysbyty Gwynedd have worked with Year 12 and 13 pupils from local state schools to help them with their Medicine and Dentistry university applications.
