True crime series Dark Land: Hunting the Killers is back with a brand-new series telling the stories of some of Wales’ most shocking murders. Throughout the six-part series, a team will reinvestigate two of the country’s most horrific cold cases, from their incident room in Swansea, as well as examining how four historic murders were solved. Autonomous farming, last mile delivery services and self-driving off-road vehicles will be put through their paces at a new large-scale robotic testbed at Aberystwyth University. The Aberystwyth Natural Terrain for Unconstrained Robotics – ANTUR or Welsh for ‘adventure’ – will cover 500 hectares with 11.5 kilometres of tracks. Cardiff-based beauty brand, Mallows Beauty, has landed its first deal in the US, a first step in a wider export strategy aimed at significantly growing its global presence. A Rare Roman Cut Glass found at Abermagwr Romano-British villa is now displayed in the Archaeology Gallery atCeredigion Museum. In 2021, a partnership between Ceredigion Museum and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales attracted £1,000 funding from the Association for Roman Archaeology (ARA) to display fragments of a unique Roman glass vessel, found at Abermagwr Romano-British villa. The villa at Abermagwr was discovered during aerial photography in 2006 and excavated by Dr Jeffrey L. Davies and Dr Toby Driver between 2010 and 2015, in a volunteer-led community project. Four schoolgirls from Newport have been crowned cyber security champions after claiming victory in the Welsh final of a contest to uncover more of the UK’s female cyber talent. The team from St Joseph’s RC High School came out on top of the regional final of the 2023 CyberFirst Girls competition hosted by Cardiff University.
