One of Wales’ highest-profile international motorsport events, Rali Ceredigion, will take place over the weekend of September 2 and 3, with JDS Machinery confirmed as the new title sponsor. A top bakery has 30 new jobs up for grabs because of soaring demand for its flagship bread products. Over the past year sales of the Jones Village Bakery’s own brand bread have increased by 20 per cent – with its signature Welsh Batch loaf proving particularly popular. ICC Wales, Newport’s state-of-the-art convention centre, has been confirmed as the first Welsh venue to host the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Congress in its current format, which will take place in June 2024. The five-day event, which is expected to welcome more than 2,000 delegates, is set to boost the local economy by £5.8m, with attendees from all parts of the UK seeking accommodation in hotels across Newport and Cardiff.
