WELSH fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium has secured a new project in Llanelli which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people across the region. Dudley’s is working with Bouygues UK on the Pentre Awel development for Carmarthenshire County Council, the largest ever regeneration project of its size in south west Wales. As well as supporting the region’s health and wellbeing, Pentre Awel will create over 1,800 jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities and is expected to boost the local economy by £467m over 15 years. A major drive has been launched to promote a “hidden gem” of Welsh tourism that includes the world’s deepest hotel, beautiful ospreys and husky and go-kart racing. An award-winning care home worker who once re-created a lunar landing to inspire residents’ memories of man’s first steps on the moon has retired. Lethal weapons including crossbows, air guns, catapults and slingshots are being used to deliberately target and kill wildlife and pets in Wales, new data from the RSPCA reveals. The animal charity has unveiled shocking new figures relating to deadly weapons used on animals over the past four years – with a horrifying crossbow attack on a squirrel one of the most recent attacks. Earlier this Summer, Tom Frost and his partner Jax arrived at a remote area just outside of Rhayader, where they go to relax. The couple weren’t to know that shortly after arriving, Tom was going to need urgent medical care. Tom and Jax were unloading the car when the pair noticed a wasps nest. South Wales Police is appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of 17-year-old Jumana who has been reported missing. Jumana, who is from Ely, Cardiff, was last seen going to a gym in Cardiff city centre on Monday, July 31. She has spoken to family and friends by telephone but has not been seen since then. There is concern for her welfare. Jumana may have travelled to the Colchester area of Essex.
