The parents of a girl diagnosed with cerebral palsy have revealed her determination to live life to the full despite the daily challenges she faces. Eirwen Ansell was found to be in the breech position when her mum Cath Ansell was admitted to Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport nine days over her due date. Cath was admitted to hospital at about 6.30pm. Following a conversation with medics, Cath said she agreed to an elective caesarean. Eirwen was delivered by emergency caesarean at 11.25pm. Parkdean Resorts, the UK’s largest holiday park operator with 66 parks across the UK, has recently seen 24 team members complete their monthly RLSS (Royal Life Saving Society) lifeguard training ahead of the new season. The Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Well-being has announced an additional £3.3m to support the implementation of the Strategic Mental Health Workforce plan in 2023-24. The additional funding will take the annual investment by Welsh Government to implement the Plan to £6m in 2023-24. The Strategic Mental Health Workforce Plan was developed by Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) and Social Care Wales following extensive engagement, including with users of mental health services. Bellway Wales has donated nearly £3,000 to Cancer Research UK, after auctioning off showhome furniture to its staff. The Bellway division, which is based in Cardiff, raised a total of £2,977.65 after selling off a range of furniture from showhomes across sites in South Wales and Gloucestershire.
