Swansea is once again coming together to spread some festive cheer to people in need at a very special Christmas event. JR Events and Catering, with support from Swansea Council, is throwing open the doors of the Brangwyn Hall on Tuesday December 6 to dish up a free two-course Christmas dinner for people in Swansea who are vulnerable, feel isolated or may be homeless. The Lord Lieutenant of West Glamorgan Mrs Louise Fleet has handed over a lasting legacy of the environmental concerns of the late HM Queen Elizabeth ll to the Dove Workshop in Banwen. Construction work is now underway on a new school development for Ysgol Gymraeg Cwm Gwyddon. It was announced in June that Andrew Scott Ltd would be the developers to take forward the project that will see the vacant Cwmcarn High School site transformed into a state-of-the-art school development. The Collaborating Local Authorities in Resource Efficiency (CLAIRE) Wales Group announce that Goldstone Books are the successful bidder as the framework winning supplier for the collection of media materials for reuse and recycling from household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) and bring sites.
