The community grant scheme awards up to £1,500, with shortlisted projects going forward to a customer vote in participating Tesco stores. Motorists are being urged to avoid part of the M4 this evening following a collision on the westbound carriageway between Junction 36 and Junction 37. South Wales Police are currently at the scene and have warned of significant tailbacks in the area. Drivers are being advised to use alternative routes where possible as congestion continues to build. The British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans programme saw an almost 30% (28.9%) rise in loan volumes in 2025 compared to the previous calendar year, suggesting a continued entrepreneurial drive across Wales. This increase was also reflected in the total value of loans, which rose by 23.58% between 2024 and 2025, indicating both sustained demand and continued investment in new and early-stage businesses. A Cardiff woman has been disqualified from keeping animals for three years after causing suffering to her cat after failing to treat her leg injury. Adrianna Caldarer, Cardiff, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Friday (January 30). She had previously pleaded guilty to one offence under the Animal Welfare Act in that she caused unnecessary suffering to a black and white cat known as Melody by failing to provide veterinary treatment for her leg injury. She was sentenced to a 12-month Community Order, 120 hours of unpaid work, a 15 day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and was ordered to pay £1,000.…
