A GWYNEDD man who had a cardiac arrest in his kitchen has been reunited with the off-duty ambulance worker who saved his life. When Kenneth Lyon, 69, began having chest pains at his Blaenau Ffestiniog home, his quick-thinking wife Jennifer went to fetch neighbour Erika Davies, an Emergency Medical Technician. The RSPCA has launched its annual Adoptober campaign encouraging prospective pet owners to consider giving a rescued animal a new home as new figures raise concerns that more animals are being relinquished to charities at a time when rehoming has slowed. 24 new charging points are being installed in Cardiff to make it easier for residents to switch to electric vehicles. Funded by Cardiff Capital Region, the new chargers are being installed in 12 locations with a focus on public car parks, close to shopping centres, parks and community hubs. More than £2m has been paid to thousands of Swansea householders over the last week as part of a scheme to help people heat their homes. The fuel support scheme that went live on the morning of Monday September 26 means eligible households are entitled to claim a £200 payment.
