A new multi electric vehicle charging hub is to be installed in Rhyl. Work is set to begin on Monday 15 August for the instalment of an electric vehicle charging hub at West Kinmel Street Car Park, Rhyl. The charge park, the first of its size in Wales and the second current largest in the UK, will offer capability for charging 36 vehicles simultaneously. Bridgend Indoor Market is set to benefit from a funding boost to help develop small business opportunities and increase consumer interest and footfall. The council has received £120,000 from the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund to deliver the Bridgend Elevate and Prosper Project (EAP). Visitors to Swansea Central Library will enjoy a remarkable look at the city’s past this week – with a high-tech new style of storytelling. Stories from the city will be given a vibrant fresh look thanks to a project that harnesses virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). The Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council, Cllr Steve Hunt, has congratulated Neath Cricket Club on its success in attracting senior Glamorgan matches to its Gnoll Ground for the first time in more than 20 years. On a visit the club’s ground, Cllr Hunt heard from Neath Cricket Club officials how first class facilities, pitch management and other factors led to Glamorgan staging two one day matches in Neath in August. Vandals recently damaged five trees planted in one of Newport’s beautiful ornamental parks.
