Work to install a new 3G pitch at a north Powys sports centre will start next month, Powys County Council and Freedom Leisure have announced. The new 3G pitch will be installed at Llanfyllin Sports Centre, replacing the outdated sports pitch. As part of the works, an improved floodlighting scheme will also be installed. Pave Aways Ltd have been appointed the contractor to install the pitch and floodlights, with the work anticipated to be completed by July. Climate Change Minister Julie James has today (Friday, July 29) announced £65m to help people move on from temporary accommodation into a place they can call their home. The money will be used to fund the Transitional Accommodation Capital Programme (TACP) which supports a wide range of projects by local authorities and registered social landlords to create much-needed extra housing capacity across Wales.
