Staff at travel and leisure company TUI say they’ll be proud to work at a new office development in Swansea city centre. TUI are among a number of tenants already confirmed for the 71/72 Kingsway scheme at the former Oceana nightclub site. Developed by Swansea Council and part-funded by the Swansea Bay City Deal, the development will accommodate up to 600 jobs. TUI staff currently based at Alexandra House will move there in the coming weeks, helping to retain jobs in the city centre. A new Oysho Cardiff Half interactive Daily Mile challenge has been launched for schools across Wales to take get involved with all the excitement as race day approaches. Run 4 Wales has partnered with Run Wales at Welsh Athletics to launch the free initiative which is designed to inspire children to move in a fun, simple and flexible way – all while encouraging links with learning and the community. CARDIFF-based fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium has secured three new projects within the education sector as the new academic year begins. Dudley’s Aluminium will work alongside Wilmott Dixon to install Kawneer curtain walling, windows and doors on two projects: Glyncoch Primary School based in Rhondda Cynon Taf, an English medium primary school which is being built to Passivhaus standards, and Airfield Primary Academy, a 630-place school in Weston-super-Mare. A public meeting for volunteers and supporters will be held in Ysgol Brynerfail, Llanrug on Wednesday, 24 September.
