A windfarm windfall of £120,000 is on offer to good causes across rural Denbighshire and Conwy in the latest round of funding available from a £4 million community fund. To date the Brenig Wind Limited Community Benefit Fund has handed out over £350,000 to community groups, clubs and societies since it launched two years ago. Five people have been charged with drugs offences as part of an operation by the South Wales Police’s Force Intelligence and Organised Crime Unit. Throughout this week, officers executed a number of pre-planned warrants in the Bridgend, Port Talbot, Lancashire and Oxfordshire areas as part of Operation Wizard. After a fiercely contested competition between five UK secondary schools, Laurus Ryecroft in Manchester was named ‘Food, Farming and Natural Environment School of the Year 2021’.
