The wholesale regeneration of a former British Steelworks site at Brymbo, near Wrexham has taken a major step forward with the acquisition of a 2.4 hectare development site by Taylor Wimpey North West. Recently, Cyfarthfa Park and Aberfan Community Centre hosted the annual Shwmae Su’mae event. As part of the celebrations, Cyfarthfa Park, Troedyrhiw and Abercanaid Primary schools performed a variety of musical items. There was also a solo performance from a Rhydywaun pupil. The new Cardiff Northern Cemetery, on  Thornhill Road, will officially open on Wednesday, October 20, providing much needed burial space in the north of the city for the next 15+ years. The cemetery design includes lawn graves, traditional graves, cremated remains graves, as well as a natural burial area that will be managed to increase biodiversity within the site.
