Staff and pupils at the new Ysgol Y Graig Primary School, Cefn Coed, will always remember the school’s late Headteacher Matthew Harries after a bench has been unveiled and a tree planted in his memory. Immediate Past Mayor of Merthyr Tydfil Cllr Howard Barrett attended the new school site to present the bench he donated in memory of former Head Mr Harries. Legal & General is investing £7 million in further refurbishment of its landmark Hodge House office building in Cardiff city centre. Last year it completed a comprehensive £10 million refurbishment and re-branding to bring the 110,000 sq ft, eight-storey Grade II listed office building in Cardiff city centre into the 21st century. A police chief is urging farmers in North Wales to use low-powered smart sensors to combat farm thefts. North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Andy Dunbobbin is backing a new scheme to encourage the farming community to tap into wireless technology. The LoRaWAN (Low Power Long Range Wide Area Access Network) is especially suited to rural areas where communications infrastructure often falls short.
